Gate Inc. and the University Community in Cameroon, together with Certiport, a Pearson VUE business, the leading provider of performance-based IT certification exams that accelerate academic and career opportunities for learners, today announce the opening for the 2023 Microsoft Office Specialist and Adobe Certified Professional Cameroon National Championships.
The Microsoft Office Specialist National Championship presented by Certiport and Gate Inc. is a national competition that tests students’ skills on Microsoft Office Word, Excel® , and PowerPoint®. The Adobe Certified Professional National Championship presented by Certiport and Gate Inc. is a national competition that tests students’ design skills using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Winners from the Cameroon national championship will be eligible to represent their country and compete in the World Championships.
Eligibility for the competitions starts by getting certified. Students who take a qualifying Microsoft Office Specialist exam in Word, Excel®, or PowerPoint® can enter the Microsoft Office Specialist National Championship selection process. Students interested in a career in design can take an Adobe Certified Professional exam in either Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign to enter the Adobe Certified Professional National Championship selection process. Those who earn certifications and achieve top results could be chosen to represent Cameroon at the World Championships in Orlando, Florida, 31 July – 2 August, 2023.
The championships for Cameroon will require candidates to be from a recognised academic institution in Cameroon, be between the ages of 13 – 22 by June 15, 2023, pass the Microsoft Office Specialist or the Adobe Certified Professional certification with good scores and fastest times before the deadline of April 21, 2023.
Entries are open for the following categories:
- Microsoft Word (Microsoft 365 Apps or Office 2019)
- Microsoft PowerPoint® (Microsoft 365 Apps or Office 2019)
- Microsoft Excel® (Microsoft 365 Apps or Office 2019)
- Microsoft Word (Office 2016)
- Microsoft PowerPoint® (Office 2016)
- Microsoft Excel® (Office 2016)
- Adobe Certified Professional
Top candidates will get an experience of a lifetime to represent Cameroon and compete against the top students from countries around the world at the Certiport Microsoft Office Specialist and Adobe Certified Associate World Championship Final 2023 in Orlando, Florida, USA. Cameroon national winners will receive an all-expenses paid trip to the World Championships* and several prizes and gifts from partners.
*Pending U.S. visa approval, which is the candidates responsibility.
